![]() This is usually printed next to a publication number on the manual and looks something like 02-20 (February of 2020), 01-21 (January of 2021) or 04/17 (April of 2017). Most Owner's Manuals have a date listed on the front page or back page of the manual. Since serial numbers may identify different years, the Owner's Manual can often be used to help pinpoint the date of manufacture. For example, a serial number of AD could be January 2002 or January 2014. So, some serial numbers may be duplicated and correspond with different years. Note: Every twelve years we run through the alphabet letters listed in the chart and start over at letter A. ![]() For example, if the serial number begins with the letters GA, the appliance was manufactured in April of 2001 or April of 2013. The corresponding letters for months and years are in the chart below. The first letter identifies the month and the second letter identifies the year an appliance was manufactured. Our serial numbers begin with two letters followed by six numbers. The manufacturing date is coded into the serial number (not the model number) of each appliance.
